| SHOUT OUTS: Since I didn't do this in the first chapter, I'll do it here. I want to give a shout out to my best friends, Larry, Sara and Dan. | Darien and I are
cruising around town on our limousine as newlyweds! Oh, I'm so happy! We
pulled up in the driveway of the reception hall. We had our windows down
and I could hear people hollaring that we had arrived. I peeked out of the
window and saw my freinds waiting for us at the door. "Quick, get inside!" yelled Lita. "here they come!" Darien stepped from the limo first and came around and opened my door for me. He took my hand as I stepped out of the vehicle. We walked hand in hand up to the stairs and ascended them. I somehow managed to make it to the top without falling flat on my face. As we entered the building, we could hear the disc jockey commencing his announcements. "Hi. I hope everyone is having a good time. Before we begin, I;d like to announce to you the members of the wedding party. First, we have the flower girl and ring bearer, chibi chibi and Sammy Tsukino!" Sammy escorted chibi chibi across the floor and to thier seats. "The maid of honor, Molly Baker and the best man, Andrew Foreman!" That goofy DJ was taking forever! Nonetheless, Andrew and Molly entered the room and took thier paths to thier seats as well. Everyone stood up in anticipation of our entrance. We'd better make it a good one. *chuckle* "And now, the moment you have all been waiting for. I present to you, for the first time in public, our bride and groom, Serena and Darien Shields!" The crowd went wild with applause and whistles as my husband *blush* and I pranced slowly across the floor and to our seats at the head table. My jaw was begining to hurt as a result of smiling so much, but it was well worth it. Darien pulled out my chair for me. But before I sat down, he wrapped his arms firmly around my waist and pressed his lips firmly against mine. Of course, the whole place was again whooping and hollaring. Our lips parted ways and we sat down at the table. To my right was Molly, then Mina, Lita, Raye, Ami and chibi chibi and to Darien's left were Andrew and Sammy.The DJ came over and handed a microphone to Darien so he could say a few words to everyone. I'd never seen him so nervous. I'm sure he'll do just fine. "Um...*sweatdrop* thank youm everyone, for coming and sharing this special day with Serena and me. We really appreciate all of your heartfelt good wishes. This one's for keeps." Darien turned to me and smiled. Then he decided to hand me the microphone so I could say a few words. I became really nervous, too. I mean, I got a C in public speaking, but I was still afraid. At any rate. I took the microphone into my hands and made a little speech. "Can you believe we're actually married?!" our audience roared with laughter. "You know, I can hardly beleive it myself. Anyway, we really do apprsciate all of you coming today. I hope everyone has a good time. Let's eat!" Raye slammed her forehead straight down on the table, Mina and Lita were laughing thier asses off, and Molly and Ami were just shaking thier heads. I handed the microphone back to the DJ. Darien just rolled his eyes at me and laughed. Molly and Andrew got up from the table and headed over to where the food was. They each took a plate and piled on the yummies. When they were finished, they each brought thier plates and placed them in front of Darien and me. Now that's what I call service! Amy, Lita Raye and Mina were going around with champagne bottles filling everyone's glasses with the bubbly beverage. Of course, chibi chibi and the other children in attendance had apple juice in thier glasses. Once everyone had a full glass, the girls and Andrew made thier way back to thier seats and sat down. "I'd like to make a toast to my good freinds. I have known Serena and Darien for a long time and I'll never forget the day when Serena left the Crown Game Center with that balled up test she'd just failed and threw it and it hit Darien right on the top of his head!" Andrew started laughing hysterically and tears were streaming down his face. Although he was reffering to the I met Darien, I could feel me face burning with anger. I turned to Andrew and glared at him as he was still laughing like a deranged lunatic. "I'm so sorry," continued Andrew as he was trying to catch his breath since he FINALLY stopped laughing. "That was the day that Darien and Serena met for the first time. I can honestly say thay I never thought in a million years that they would be sitting here today as man and wife. Cheers to Darien and Serena!" Everyone cheered and drank to Andrew's toast. Ouy of the corner of my eye, I saw Raye (of all people) guzzle her champagne in one gulp. Table by table, our guests helped themselves to the buffet to get some grub. Once everyone had a plate of food in front of them, the place fell silent while everyone was savoring every bite of the delicious food that Lita prepared. "Did you make all this food by yourself, Lita?" Molly inquired. "And it's really, really delicious, too! I think you would make an excellent chef someday." "Thank you, Molly," replied Lita who was trying to speak over Mina chowing down next to her. "All of these recipes belonged to my mom, and yes, I did pretty much make everything myself. My dream has always been to get married and become a pastry chef, but I can make a variety of dishes as you can see. Seeing everyone smiling as they're eating food I have prepared makes me Happy. I can't wait to see waht Serena conjure up for Darien since she can't cook for shit!" Molly started laughing and Mina almost choked on her food. I'd heard what Lita said, but sadly, she was absolutely right, too. The time had come for Darien and me to have our first dance together as husband and wife. The DJ made some sort of announcement and called us to the middle of the dance floor. Of course, my husband *giggle* took my hand and escorted me to our destination point. I turned to see Raye get up from her chair. She walked over to where the DJ was and handed her a microphone. "Um..I wanted to surprise the two of you by singing this song." Raye's voice was cracking and I could tell she was extremely nervous. She held the microphone daintily as the music started. I knew the song immediatly. Raye's voice went from trembling to sounding angelic as she sang "Oh, Starry Night." Darien held me as close as possibly could and I was quietly sobbing.When the song ended, Raye met us on the dance floor. Everyone gave Raye a standing ovation for her beautiful singing and Darien gave her a hug and kissed her cheek. She came over to me and I hugged her tight, still crying like a baby. "Stop crying, Meatball head! I don't want your make-up all over my dress!" "I'm sorry, Raye. You did a great job singing and we appreciate it a lot. Thank you." "Your welcome." Raye proceeded to hand me a tissue so I could dry my eyes without messing up my make-up more than it already was. Everyone was having a good time dancing and drinking champagne. Somebody put champagne in Artemis' bowl as a joke. he didn't realize it and he ended up drunk. Poor kitty. "I think it's time that we get out of here, " Darien whispered in my ear. "I want to get you back to my place and out of that dress so we can..." "Darien! Sounds good to me!" ^_^ I really didn't mean to cut him off like that, but I knew exactly what he was going to say at that point. We made our final rounds thanking everyone for attending. Chibi chibi and Sammy were sound asleep on a bench near the back of the banquet hall. Haruka and Michiru were making out over in the adjacent corner, so we didn't bother them. Darien made his way out to his motorcycle. I was gazing up at the clear, star filled sky and the full moon trying to figure out how I was going to sit on it without getting my dress caught. I reached back and detached the train from the back of my dress which made life much easier. "I love you, Serena, my beautiful wife." "And I love you, my husband, Darien." Darien leaned in towards me as my lips merged with his. My lips parted slightly, allowing his tongue to poke through to caress mine. We pulled away from each other and Darien helped me get on the back of his motorcycle. "Let's go, Mrs. Shields." Darien looked at me with loving eyes. "Ok." Darien got on the motorcycle and handed me a helmet while he was putting on his helmet. It was a pain in the butt to get that helmet on over my headpiece, but I managed. We sped off in happily wedded bliss. This was only the begining of the rest of our lives together as one. |
